Ed Vera

Principal

Ed’s experience and passion for design and construction naturally led him to the creating of Vera Rice Architects and Formlinea.  He is personally involved in every project from concept through construction and as such, maintains a “one-on-one” relationship with our clients. Prior to founding Vera Rice Architects and Formlinea, Ed has worked with various architecture and design+build firms over a period of twenty years. He has been involved in every aspect of the design process and has led the construction of several homes built in Chicago.  During his tenure, Ed has developed ongoing relationships with many contractors and vendors in an effort to maintain quality and leverage cost.

Derek Rice, AIA

President

Derek holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago, is registered with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and is a licensed architect in the State of Illinois. He brings over seventeen years of experience in the practice of architecture with a concentration in commercial, health care and residential architecture.
